Sewing Flat & Prefold Cloth Diapers
These are the by the far the easiest and most simple of all diaper types. Flat diapers are simply rectangular squares that are folded over a baby to form a diaper. Prefold diapers are quite similar to flats but they have some extra padding sewn into the middle section to make them more absorbent.
Instructions for sewing a flat diaper:
We suggest using Birdseye fabric for flat diapers but you could use a variety of fabrics, including flannel. Cut out 27 by 27 inch squares (any size you want is fine though). Use a serger or sewing machine to sew around the edges of the fabric to keep them from fraying. Voila! That was easy!

Scissors and/or rotary cutter, a cutting mat, pins, and a sewing machine and/or serger, and fabric.
